Dahlonega, Georgia wanted to get the word out about its elevated culinary and wine scene in 2015.
Pineapple PR met with restaurant and winery chefs, winemakers, owners to personally prepare them for the city-wide tasting, coach them on menu items and wine pairings to ensure a top-notch experience for media and influencers; we coordinated itinerary, transportation and swag bag items as well as secured top-tier media.
The #DestinationDineDahlonega FoodieFAM brought 11 influencers and writers covering 20+ media outlets for a day-long culinary blitz. Engagement on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook was encouraged through custom hashtags, shared handles and hashtags of restaurants, wineries and chefs, and staged photo and sharing opportunities. In an eight-hour period, the event generated 222,832 impressions on Twitter, was shared to 3,225 Instagram followers, and earned media articles in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ATL Restaurant Blog, Jezebel Magazine, Southbound and more.
