4 Georgia Mountain Towns You Need to Visit

Northeast Georgia is often forgotten because while it has several popular towns like Clayton and Dillard, they are much smaller than tourist favorites like Dahlonega and Helen. 1. Tallulah Falls, Georgia

Tallulah Gorge State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Georgia. One of the best times to go is in the Spring or Fall during the whitewater release.

2. Tiger, Georgia

Goats on the Roof is another worthwhile stop in Tiger!

Ever since I visited Goats on the Roof, I have been wanting a pet goat. This is sort of a kitschy spot, but so worth the $2 to feed the baby goats!

3. Dillard, Georgia

Growing up, my family always went up to stay at The Dillard House in one of the cabins. We would spend the weekend hiking and horseback riding.

4. Sky Valley, Georgia

Sky Valley

My first and only time in Sky Valley, I competed in the Sky to Summit 8 mile trail race. It was my first race, and just went up and down the side of the mountain. I ended up finishing first girl!
